London-based singer-songwriter Matilda Mann caught our attention last year when she released her EP ‘Because I Wanted You to Know‘, which amassed over 6 million streams globally.

With sweet vocals and gentle guitar riffs, her new single ‘Doomsday‘ explores the emotions we’ve all felt over the last year as the pandemic has made us consider the fleeting nature of life.

Listen to ‘Doomsday’ below.

Inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, The Staves and Fleetwood Mac, the romantic track reflects the little mundane aspects everyone has put into their lives over the past year.

Talking about her new track, she tells us When I wrote that, that’s when it felt like the end of the world. I was watching Normal People at that time and Pride And Prejudice, and I just thought, ‘It’s the end of the world, we’re the last couple, let’s go and get married‘ .”
