Last year Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Caity Krone released her first EP ‘Work of Art‘ and it’s been on repeat ever since!

When we first heard Caity sing, we were in awe of the raw talent she possesses. Her voice is like a warm hug from a loved one. Listen to ‘Work of Art‘ and you’ll automatically feel at home and comforted by her lyricism and strong vocals.

With folky pop vibes and honest lyrics, ‘Work of Art‘ sets the tone of having an unrequited crush and all the difficult emotions that come with it. The EP is full of tracks that are perfect for listening to on a sunny drive while thinking of that one person that makes your head explode.

Thank you for the Sunday Paper‘ starts with the sound of a weatherman along with melancholy piano notes that paint a visual of an emotional story. This song is totally on our sad songs playlist. Caity’s next track ‘21‘ has those old school rock n roll vibes that are timeless and paint the picture of coming of age. She closes the EP with ‘ I’ve been lonely ‘ and the moment you hear the first few strums of the guitar, you know she means business. Chills will form the moment you hear the words “I’m waiting in the corridor when you come home”. This stunning song explores the idea of realizing your own worth and learning to love yourself despite that certain someone not returning the same feelings for you. It’s definitely something a lot of people can relate to and Caity portrays it in her lyrics and voice exceptionally well.

Influenced by Stevie Nicks, Carole King, and Joni Mitchell. The inspiration from these Laurel Canyon rock stars has definitely made a great impact on the music she creates. Themes of coming of age, having an intense crush, and learning to love yourself are explored in Caity’s music. There’s something about listening to these gorgeous songs of her’s that feels like a fresh breath of air.

With a talent and love for music like her’s, there’s no doubt she is going places. We’re so excited for everything that’s to come for Caity and we’ll be there supporting her every step of the way!
